XSProjek teaches mothers sewing skills to create upcycled products from waste or unused plastic materials, transforming them into items with economic value.

Each upcycled product often has a unique story behind how the raw materials were sourced or transformed, adding significant value to each item created by the participants. XSProjek guides participants through each stage of the product-making process, from creating patterns and selecting materials to cutting and sewing. One of the women participating in the program said, ‘I hope this program continues so that more participants can learn how to make the products that XSProjek has introduced.

Many female fishermen in the Thousand Islands possess significant creative potential but have limited access to training and skills that could boost their income. Through this workshop, we aim to equip them with new skills that can be used to create valuable products and enhance their family’s well-being.
